So last week me and my friends Jay Shah and Jugal Chauhan participated at TSEC CODESTORM HACKATHON 2020, and Online HACKATHON, and below is the problem statement we selected:

” Build a Custom Reverse Image Detection model for Online Shopping for Clothing and Shoes. The system should be able to automatically search the web for similar products and display the price, available sizes and similar items in a web or android based application (ML/AI). ”

Though we didn’t make it to the second room but we learned some new concepts of Flask and Beautiful soup.

– Flask to display the basic web application and show the output generated.
– Beautiful Soup for scraping the Google shopping page with the listed products.

We used Google Vision API to identify the product type and color along with Google shopping to display similar products from all over the web.
